2010-2011 State Theme: Save the Day with FCCLA

General Rules and Guidelines

State Proficiency Events Program events, (PEP events) will be conducted following the Nevada State Proficiency Events Manual. Participants compete for individual, team and chapter awards. Each participant will receive a gold, silver or bronze medal based on his or her score. Participants will be evaluated on the basis of a defined standard. The rating sheets for the different proficiency events are not all the same. Awards for some events are different as well. The FCCLA Creed and Procedures event awards are t-shirts and certificates.

STAR Events will be conducted following the National FCCLA STAR Events Manual. STAR Events participants at the State level will receive a gold, silver or bronze STAR medal. The highest scoring gold or silver STAR recipient(s) in each event will be eligible to compete on the National level.

All registration materials, including fees, must be postmarked and/or faxed on or before January 25th and be in the State Office by February 1st.
